Joyful Tuesdays

Happy Tuesday Everyone!  

I got this mornings thoughts from The Upper Room Daily Devotional.  Words I just needed to hear, so thought I would share!

‎"Forgiving a person or a group of people is hard if they have greatly wronged us; we often harbor anger and bitterness. We may become suspicious and paranoid, letting that wrong affect every area of our lives. Resentment can damage our bodies like a poison and destroy our relationships. Ironically, our resentment does not harm those who have injured us. We hurt only ourselves.

On the other hand, forgiving others neutralizes the poisons of anger and bitterness. Instead of misery, we can choose joy. We go on without the heavy burden of anger. Our reward for developing a spirit of love is joy. We begin to appreciate the gifts of God. We learn to value the days God gives us, and we can live every area of life to the fullest. When we possess a grateful and forgiving heart, outside circumstances cannot diminish the joy in each day."

Happy JOYful Tuesday Everyone!

I hope everyone has had a great start to their week!

Today I am challenging everyone to CHOOSE JOY! Why, you may ask?  Joy is not just being happy, it so much deeper than that.  Joy is the happy state that results from knowing and serving God, it is a gift from God (Galatians 5:22)

Choosing Joy gives us…

Strength ~ Nehemiah 8:10

Thankful hearts ~1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Ability to touch lives ~ Matthew 5:16

Hope ~ Romans 15:13

Perseverance ~ James 1:2-4      

Just to name a few… 

So Let us choose JOY on this beautiful Tuesday!

Joyful Tuesdays

    So I have decided that Tuesdays will now be Joyful Tuesdays!  I will be posting on my favorite verses, quotes, ect. that will fill us with joy and maybe sometimes even a little laughter! So lets get this Tuesday started!
     My all time favorite verse is Jeremiah 29:11.

  Isn't it relieving that God has already planned our life out for us!  He is like our personal Life Planner!  If anyone knows me, they know that I am a little OC with having to have a plan.  I have to know where we are going, why we are going there, at what time we are going; however, my husband is quite the opposite, he is a fly be the seat of your pants kinda guy, which is kinda stressful for me at times but i still love him! But to know that I don't have to worry about my future feels me with JOY! This doesn't mean that life is going to be perfect and we are going to be traveling this beautiful yellow brick road all the days of our life.  There will be times in our life when things don't go our way or the way we think they are suppose to go.  In these times we have to realize that we are lost people without God's direction in our lives.  Proverbs 16:9 simply states,"In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps." How refreshing!
